Like so many others in our community, we are heartbroken by the impacts of fire in the North Bay this week. If we haven’t connected with you yet individually, please know that we are thinking of all our friends and partners and sending you our best wishes for the safety of your loved ones, homes, and businesses. The RCD’s staff is hard at work preparing ideas for how we can help our community recover from this disaster. In the meantime, we’d like to share the following message from our partners who are offering immediate assistance. Please stay safe out there.

**PROPERTY OWNERS WITH FIRE DAMAGE**
The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service’s website has been updated to have local fact sheets on how to address property damage after the fires. Please pass this along to those affected.

Your local NRCS offices are also working on program information for cost sharing on some repairs. We understand time is of the essence with our incoming winter weather. Contact your local field office BEFORE starting work so that we can get you signed up for any financial assistance that may be available to help pay for practices.
