EducationBe part of the future of conservation in Sonoma County
The Sonoma RCD was established in 1946 by local agriculturalists and environmentalists to address critical natural resource concerns in Sonoma County. Our district serves approximately 85% of Sonoma County.
We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and beliefs to join us in achieving our mission to bridge the needs of the community and natural resources by empowering people through reliable expertise and action to strengthen the resilience of Sonoma County. We are a dynamic team of conservation professionals committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace and in the technical services we provide to our community. We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply to open positions on our staff or board,

Board Vacancies
We are recruiting to add Associate (non-voting) Directors to our Board to build a pipeline of Directors (voting) and diversify our Board to reflect the communities we serve. Volunteering as an Associate Director with the RCD is an opportunity to help make conservation happen on the ground by supporting an organization with a proven track record in the community.
