A month following the devastating fires of October 2017, we are all seeing and feeling the impacts and challenges that lie ahead of us here in Sonoma County. We are hearing from our constituents their concerns about erosion, toxic runoff into waterways, as well as questions about the resilience of our lands to fully recover. The RCD, NRCS and a multitude of partners are diligently working alongside landowners to provide both short term and long term solutions to natural resource issues on a property-by-property basis. As a community we will prevail and our landscapes will heal.
Our November newsletter has information regarding “Preparing for Winter After the Fire” tips and upcoming workshops and meetings for landowners impacted by the fires.
